Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford William Larry Hall, 77, of Oxford, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. He was better known to friends and family as Larry. He was born in Oxford, Mississippi, on May 25, 1948. The family will celebrate Larry’s life with a memorial visitation on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford. Interment will take place privately at a later date in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Larry retired from the federal government and became involved in community activities. He was instrumental in establishing the Men’s Tennis League and the Ole Miss Junior Classic Tennis Tournament in the early 1990s. Larry coached many youth sports teams and wanted all players to play in the positions they wanted to try. Larry was steadfast in his commitment to fairness and honesty. He had a servant’s heart, never seeking recognition or praise. He was known for his hands-on approach to helping others regardless of their background. He had a remarkable talent for looking beyond differences, offering support and compassion to those often overlooked. Although he could sometimes be misunderstood, those who truly knew him understood his kindness and the sincerity of his heart. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Betty Stuart Hall, and their son, Kevin Riley Hall of Oxford, Mississippi. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law: Alice Stuart and Debbie Stuart, both of Madison, Mississippi, and Shirley Warren Stuart of Oxford, Mississippi. Additionally, he is survived by two nephews: Whitney Douglas “Whit” Stuart III of Oxford, Mississippi; Andrew Christopher Stuart and his wife Dorothy of Lincoln, Nebraska; one great nephew Thomas Stuart of Lincoln, Nebraska; and one great niece, Olivia Stuart of Lincoln, Nebraska. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, William Riley Hall and Billie Ruth Hall; and one brother-in-law, Whitney Douglas 'Doug" Stuart.
