Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Timothy Drew Roberson, 66, passed away on March 29, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. The family will celebrate his life privately at a later date. Timothy was born on March 5, 1960 in Batesville, Mississippi, to the late Shelby Mills and Rex Roberson Sr. He was a passionate rock hunter, always searching for the next unique stone to add to his treasured collection. His curiosity didn’t stop there—he also enjoyed collecting coins, each piece a small window into history and adventure. Timothy’s love for the outdoors was evident in every aspect of his daily life. Whether tending to livestock or working in his vibrant garden, he had a remarkable gift for nurturing life. Flowers flourished under his care, and anything he planted seemed to thrive, reflecting his gentle, patient nature. By his side through it all was his devoted dog, Punky. The two were inseparable companions, sharing countless adventures and quiet moments alike. Punky’s loyalty was matched only by Timothy’s unwavering devotion to his furry friend. Music was another of Timothy’s many joys, and he could often be found playing the drums, bringing rhythm and energy to family gatherings and quiet evenings at home. But above all, Timothy’s heart belonged to his grandchildren. He took immense pride in their every accomplishment and was always present, cheering them on and sharing in their interests. Whatever they did, he was involved, offering guidance, laughter, and endless love. Spending time with and supporting the aspirations of his grandchildren, Trey and Bella, was the cornerstone of his life. Whether is was long talks with Trey, or adventures with Bella, he never missed an opportunity to be there for them. Timothy’s legacy is one of kindness, curiosity, and deep connection—to family, nature, and the simple joys of life. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his step-daughter, Amy Brower of Abbeville, MS; his son, Kevin Roberson (Caitlin) of Bartlett, TN; his three granddaughters, Bella Brower of Abbeville, and Lucinda and Lorelai Roberson of Bartlett; his grandson, Trey Brower of Abbeville; his two sisters, Carol Roberson Baker of Sardis, MS, and Mary Roberson Wiygul of Ocean Springs, MS; his family friend, L.B. Wiggins of Abbeville; his partner Janet Chaney; and his beloved dog, Punky. Timothy is preceded in death by his parents, Shelby Mills and Rex Roberson Sr.; and his brother, Rex Roberson Jr. In lieu of traditional flowers, the family of Timothy asks that any donations and memorials to be made in his honor go to Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, Parks, and Marines Foundation (https://foundationmwfp.azurewebsites.net/memorial-donation/).
