Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Teresea Gay Gray, 62, of Como, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. The family will be having a memorial service on February 21, 2026 at 3:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church (124 County Road 519 Como, MS, 38619). Upon the conclusion of the memorial service, the family will hold a reception with refreshemnts at the Lafayette County Substation (14 CR 517 Como, MS 38916). Teresea graced this world with her presence on September 03, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee, as one of the five children born to the late Herman Leon Stiles and Margaret Gay Corzine. Teresea was a tiny woman with a presence larger than life. Known for her radiant smile and magnetic personality, she had a way of lighting up every room she entered. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit unforgettable, and her heart endlessly generous. At just 26 years old, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. While many would have let such a diagnosis define them, she refused to let it slow her down or dim her light. She faced life with courage, grace, and determination, never allowing MS to take away her joy, her independence, or her love for the people around her. She was the proud and devoted mother of three children: her beloved twins Brandi and Casey, and her youngest son Lake. Her children were her world, and she poured her strength, wisdom, and unwavering love into raising them. Her legacy grew even more beautiful with the blessing of ten cherished grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness. She found peace and joy in the mountains and by the rivers, places that reflected her steady strength and free spirit. Whether surrounded by family, sharing stories, or simply sitting and talking, she had a rare gift: she made people feel comfortable, valued, and heard. She was honest, trustworthy, and effortlessly easy to be around. Conversations with her felt natural, laughter came easily, and time spent in her presence was always meaningful. Above all, she loved her family fiercely. Her life was a testament to resilience, warmth, and joy. Though small in stature, her impact was immense. She leaves behind a family bonded by her love and a community forever brighter because she was part of it. Her beautiful smile, her laughter, and her indomitable spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. It sustained her, strengthened her, and kept her spirit lifted through every trial. She prayed faithfully for everyone she loved, carrying their burdens to the Lord with unwavering devotion. You could not have a conversation with her without hearing about her faith — she openly, joyfully, and without hesitation shared Jesus with anyone who would listen. Her belief was not just something she spoke about; it was something she lived every day, and it touched countless lives. She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence; her husband, William Earl Gray of Como; three children, Brandi Gray of Mills River, North Carolina; Casey Gray of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and, Lake Gray of Waldo, Florida; ten grandchildren: Elijah, Austin, Leda, Miley, Lilly, Abby, Kraven, Conner, Amayah, and Elowyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dearly loved extended family members. The loved ones who departed from this life before her include her parents, Herman Leon Stiles and Margaret Gay Corzine; Joe Stiles, Steve Stiles, Lynne Manuel, and Dale Stiles.
