Tammy Ruth Tetleton

Tammy Ruth Gann Tetleton, beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister, and friend, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Walls, MS. Born on March 31, 1969, in Memphis, Tennessee, Tammy lived a life of traditional Christian values, love, and faith. Tammy was a graduate of Southaven High School, where she was a proud member of the dance team - The Strutters. While she was a member of the team, The Strutters won nationals after going to Orlando, FL for finals. Tammy loved Christmas more than almost anything. While others were enjoying the warmth of summer, Tammy was already thinking and planning the Christmas Holidays. She would begin making her Christmas crafts and shopping for Christmas presents as early as July. Her excitement for the season was contagious, and she took great joy in choosing and creating special things for the people she loved. For Tammy, Christmas was more than a holiday; it was a time of giving, gathering, celebrating, and sharing love. Above all, Tammy was a woman of strong and unwavering faith. She was a lifelong Christian, and her relationship with God was an important part of who she was. For the past five years, she was a beloved member of SouthPoint Church in Southaven, MS; where she found fellowship, encouragement, and a community of faith, while faithfully leading the Impressions Team with Michael until just recently. SouthPoint Church was such a special place to Tammy, where love for one another is contagious. Tammy leaves behind her beloved husband of 31 years, Michael Anthony Tetleton; her son, Carter Anthony Tetleton; her daughter, Sydney Grace Tetleton, all of Walls, MS; her sisters, Thresia (Eddie) Burks of Southaven, MS and Shearon (Richard) Hayes of Horn Lake, MS; a host of nephews and nieces, a countless number of students at Lake Cormorant High School, who knew her simply as mom; and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Marie Gann, and her sister, Pamela Green. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM, both at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road, East, Southaven, MS 38672). Pastor Craig Wendel to officiate. Interment will be in DeSoto Memorial Gardens.
