Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Sondra Kay Jenkins,62, of Oxford, passed away on November 26, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. The family has elected not to host any services and will mourn her passing privately, leaning on one another for support. Sondra Kay Jenkins graced this world with her presence on August 09, 1963 as one of the children born to the late Marvin Houston and Emma Fowler Houston. Sondra was a devoted mother who touched many lives with her warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. She loved cooking and was happiest when sharing meals with family and friends. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting smells of her favorite recipes, and she welcomed everyone to her table. Sondra enjoyed bowling, where she made lasting friendships and enjoyed friendly competition. She also loved fishing and found peace outdoors. Her playful side showed at the pool table, where she spent many happy hours improving her game.Sondra enjoyed playing card games with family and friends, especially Phase 10. Her friendly and competitive spirit made every game night special. Everyone who knew Sondra will remember her kindness, her sense of humor, and how she brought people together. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Sondra leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence; spouse, Richard Jenkins; two daughters, Jennifer Ramierez and Christian Jenkins, and her fiance, Heather Anders; one son, Jeremy Jenkins; four siblings: Robert Houston, Eugene Houston; Kathy Eavns, and Karen Harrison; five grandchildren: Chloe Cannon, Emma Claire Houston, Madison Cannon, Ella Grace Anders, and Talen Mercer ; and a host of dearly loved nieces and nephews. The loved ones who departed from this life before her include: parents, Marvin Houston and Emma Fowler Houston; one son, Jonathan “Petey” Houston; and one brother, Doug Houston.
