Randy Turner

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Randy Calvin Turner, 66, of Byhalia, MS, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Byhalia United Methodist Church (93 S. Senter St. Byhalia, MS 38611). A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Reverend M.J. Pope will officiate. Randy was born on September 15, 1956 in Valentine, NE. He was a member of Byhalia United Methodist Church and the Byhalia Chamber of Commerce. Randy was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and had a huge heart for veterans. He was passionate about genealogy and was involved with the Tennessee Genealogical Society and the Holly Springs Genealogical Society. Randy was a union steward in Denver, CO. After retiring, Randy worked for the town of Byhalia as the cemetery manager for Byhalia Cemetery. Randy enjoyed camping, traveling, and was a big fan of the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans. After being together for three years, he married the love of his life, Pam, and they were married for seven and a half years. Randy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Randy was known for sending out birthday cards, anniversary cards, and newsletters to the family. He was also known for his sense of humor and was loved by many. Randy will be truly missed by all those who knew him. Randy is survived by his loving wife, Pam Turner of Byhalia, MS; daughters, Sarah Turner (Matt) of Victorville, CA, Jessica Balderson (Brett) of Olive Branch, MS; sons, Patrick Turner (Courtnie) of Wrightwood, CA, Harlan Steppig of Kiowa, CO; mother, Marilyn Velma Turner of Perris, CA; sisters, Cathie Lancaster (Gary) of Wildomar, CA, Margy Zirnig (Joe) of Valentine, NE; brother, Ryan Turner (Debbie) of Perris, CA; granddaughters, Bailie Turner of Wrightwood, CA, Brittney Turner of Wrightwood, CA, Brooke Turner of Wrightwood, CA, Finley Balderson of Olive Branch, MS, Evelyn Steppig of Kiowa, CO; grandsons, Blake Oney of Parker, CO, Callum Balderson of Olive Branch, MS, Emmett Balderson of Olive Branch, MS, Declan Balderson of Olive Branch, MS, Grant Steppig of Kiowa, CO. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Turner and son, Matthew Turner.
