Paula Lillian Holcomb

Paula Lillian Holcomb, 70, of Paris, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She peacefully departed this earth surrounded by the love and presence of her children. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 01, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford. Paula, one of four children born to the late Lee and Lillian Duke, made her entrance into this world on April 29, 1954, in Memphis, Tennessee. Paula devoted her life to supporting the passions and pursuits of her children and grandchildren. Whether coordinating the Band Boosters or cheering from the stands, she was always the most enthusiastic voice - a proud and unwavering presence at every game and gathering. She found joy volunteering with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5571 in Bruce, Mississippi, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Paula also enjoyed spending time outdoors observing the beauty of nature from the view of her porch swing or on a camping trip. She dearly loved the picturesque views of Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee. She found immense joy in the grace and beauty of horses, whether riding tall in the saddle or quietly admiring them as they grazed peacefully in the pasture. In addition to her love for all things made by the creator, she was an avid collector of lighthouses and snow globes, curating a unique collection over time. Above all her hobbies and interests, she cherished her relationship with her family. She loved spending quality time with them and never failed to share her affection. Although she has departed from our presence, Paula's memory will hold a special place in the hearts and minds of her loved ones. She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence, three children: Angie Swanner and her husband Skip of Somerville, Tennessee; Terri Gandy and her husband Jeff of Paris, Mississippi; Thomas Holcomb and his wife Nicki of Germantown, Tennessee; six grandchildren: Brian Holcomb and his wife Megan of Atoka, Tennessee; Kasie Fassinger and her husband Brandon of Paris, Mississippi; Kalyn Parks and her fiancée Jordan of Paris, Mississippi; Luke Holcomb of Germantown, Tennessee; Noah Holcomb of Germantown, Tennessee; Caleb Holcomb of Germantown, Tennessee; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Greene of Bartlett, Tennessee. The loved ones who departed from this life before Paula include her father and mother, Lee Duke and Lillian Murphree Duke, and two sisters, Barbara Caldwell and Nancy Robinson.
