Marsha Joyce Kisner

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Marsha Joyce Kisner, 73, passed away June 8th, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Oxford (800 Van Buren Ave, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm, also at the First Baptist Church of Oxford. Interment will be at Oxford Memorial Cemetery (464 North 16th Street Oxford, MS, 38655). Brother Don Gann and Brother Fish Robinson will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Marsha was born on August 28, 1950, in Oxford, MS. She was always an extremely kind hearted and intelligent woman throughout her life. She worked tirelessly to achieve her goals, and she always gave the glory to her Lord and Savior. She worked diligently to become an excellent paralegal, eventually working her way up to the court administrator. She was loved greatly at her job, and she made so many lifelong friends that she considered family along the way. Ms. Marsha had an amazing personality. She had a way of making everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. Marsha was a beloved member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford. She dedicated every second she could to the church in serving her Lord and Savior, and she absolutely loved volunteering and spending time with her Sunday school family. She had a very impressive collection of McCarty and Peter’s pottery, which she loved dearly. She also had a special place in her heart for her animals; however, she loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Her grandbabies were her true pride and joy, and she was so proud of her children and grandchildren. Marsha was truly an amazing woman and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Ms. Marsha is survived by her son, Clay (Carla) Kisner of Abbeville, MS; her daughter, Camille (Charley) Busby of Abbeville; three granddaughters, Tori Kisner, Courtney (Tyler Feather) Traylor, and Leslie Traylor, all of Abbeville; two grandsons, Richey Traylor and Dalton Busby, both of Abbeville; three great-granddaughters, Emerie Feather, Addison Feather, and Maci Feather; one brother, Tim (Kim) Wood of Michie, TN; and one niece, Anna Madison (Aden) Blansett. Ms. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, William “Buddy” Wood and Peggy Wood. The family would like to give a special thanks to one of Marsha’s dearest friends, Susan Dempsey. She was at Marsha and her family’s side throughout this entire experience, and the family is so very thankful for her loving care and support.
