Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mr. Larry Ross Lindsey, 64, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, in Oxford, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home (601 Commerce Pkwy., Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will be at North Oxford Baptist Church Cemetery (304 CR 101, Oxford, MS 38655). Bro. Fish Robinson will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. Larry was born and raised in Oxford, MS. He dedicated 33 years of his life to being a proud firefighter in Oxford. He was stationed at the original Station 1 of Oxford and retired as a Battalion Chief. He was a proud and dedicated man and always put the lives of other first. Larry had a personality like no other. He was such a fun-loving man and those who knew him often referred to his as an extreme jokester. Larry loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends and having a good laugh. He was also known to be an amazing and vivid storyteller. Larry was also an avid outdoorsman. His entire life was based around the outdoors. He absolutely loved his home in Sardis and spending time on the lake. He spent every second he could fishing up to his last day with us. He also had a love for hunting, as he was involved with various hunting clubs and organizations throughout his life. Larry loved his Lord and Savior and attended North Oxford Baptist Church. Larry is survived by his daughter, Taylor (Whit) Freeman of New Albany, MS; his fiancé, Angie Bullock of Oxford; one granddaughter, Charlotte Freeman of New Albany; two grandsons, Drew Freeman and Max Freeman of New Albany; his sister, Stacy Lindsey of Oxford; his nephew, Alex Lindsey of Oxford; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Lindsey and Mary Sue Lindsey; his sister, Suzanne Young; and his brother, Terry Wayne Lindsey.
