Janice Grissom-Kimbrough

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Janice Grissom-Kimbrough, 78, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Getwell Church (7875 Getwell Rd. Southaven, MS 38671). A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held at Chambers Chapel Church Cemetery (3185 Chambers Chapel Rd. Arlington, TN). Pastor Jonathan Wallace of Getwell Church will officiate. Janice was born on November 19, 1944, in Memphis, TN. She grew up as a member and raised her children at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church, which soon after became Hope Baptist Church. Later in her life, she attended Getwell Church in Southaven, MS. Janice was unwavering in her faith and excited to share the good news of Jesus with others. Janice was in many bowling leagues for over sixty years. Some leagues included Touch of Class, Sexy Seniors and Good Times. Their team name was called the Wild Ponies and they played at Strike Zone and Billy Hardwicks, where she met her husband, Lloyd. They were together for seventeen years and married for fourteen years. Janice enjoyed traveling with her husband, listening to rock and roll music, dancing, and everything Western themed. She also adored her two Chihuahua’s, Red Rider and Cowboy Ranger. Janice was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish Janice’s memory are her loving husband, Lloyd H. Kimbrough of Olive Branch, MS; sons, Jamie M. Grissom (Jamie) of Franklin, TN; Jason S. Grissom (Shannon) of Southaven, MS, Scott Kimbrough (Mandy) of Southaven, MS; granddaughters, Emily, Adah, and Autumn Grissom of Southaven, MS, Jaycee Grissom of Franklin, TN, Llaya Kimbrough of Southaven, MS; grandsons, Jackson and Jagger Grissom of Southaven, MS, Jaden Grissom of Franklin, TN, Paxson Kimbrough of Southaven, MS; life-long friend, Pat Henley; and a host of nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her former husbands, Tommy Dickinson and Jan P. Grissom; parents, Herman and Katherine Billings; and three brothers. In lieu of traditional flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Janice Grissom-Kimbrough to the Civitan of Olive Branch.
