The family has elected not to host any services and will mourn his passing privately, leaning on one another for support. Eddy graced this world with his presence on December 31, 1947, in Hayti, Missouri, as a son born to the late Robert Clyde Brackin and Mattie Joyce Jones Brackin. Eddy will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and the grandest of grandfathers—a man whose heart belonged to his family. As one of sixteen children, he understood the meaning of togetherness and cherished every moment spent with loved ones. Whether cheering on a favorite team, enjoying the peace of the outdoors, or preparing a meal, Eddy found joy in creating memories with those closest to him. His homemade yeast rolls, biscuits, and iron skillet pancakes were more than just food; they were expressions of his warmth and care, leaving a legacy of comfort and love that will be deeply missed. Eddy leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence; his beloved wife of 58 years, Carol Brown Brackin of Oxford, Mississippi; two daughters: Kim Brackin Stewart of Oxford, Mississippi; Amy Brackin Ward and her husband Brian of Helena, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Madison Buckner and her husband Bryce of Helena, Arkansas; Zoe Brinkman and her husband Chandler of Sherwood, Arkansas; Peyton Ward and his wife Anna of Drummonds, Tennessee; Callie Stewart of Oxford, Mississippi; Teale Stewart of Costa Mesa, California; five great grandchildren; five siblings: Linda Allen of Missouri; Carmelita McIntyre of Missouri; Robert Lynn Brackin of Missouri; Frank Brackin of California; Manual Brackin of California; and longtime friend, Buddy Lynn of Cherokee Village, Arkansas. The loved ones who departed from this life include: his parents, Robert Clyde Brackin and Mattie Joyce Jones Brackin; one son, Eddy Trever; ten siblings: Billy Brackin, Jerry Brackin, Paul Brackin, Patsy Maranto, Norma Henry, Jackie Ermer, Alice McCool, Nick Brackin, Mary Holloway, and Sandy Bass.
