Donna Rose Manley

Donna Rose Manley, 66 passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the home of her daughter in Como, Mississippi. The family invites friends to come and pay their respects to the late Donna Rose Manley on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford. The funeral service celebrating her life will take place on Thursday October 13, 2022, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Coleman Funeral Home. Her final resting place will be Garden of Memories Cemetery located in Oxford, Mississippi. Donna was welcomed into this world on the fall day of September 27, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio by her parents Raney Price and Mary Edna Cox. She was the youngest of 9 children. Donna worked most of years in the healthcare industry as a medical receptionist until her health began to decline and retirement called her name. She enjoyed her job very much and loved helping people. However, she did not simply retire; Donna filled her days with many hobbies that kept her active and in touch with family and friends. She found great joy in sharing daily posts on facebook to help lift the spirits of others as well as the games she enjoyed playing. Donna also had a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed sitting outside on the front porch of her home watching the birds as she sipped her coffee. She loved her flower beds and the new life with each flower that appeared. She loved all types of flowers but especially her roses, azaleas, hydrangeas, and clematis’. Donna wanted to be most remembered for the love that she had for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her sisters and brothers so much and would speak of them often. She had many names: Moma, Ganny, Gannyma, G, Rose, and Rosebud to name a few. She leaves behind a close-knit family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence; one son, Michael Price (Heather Price) of Batesville, MS ; three daughters: Mary Katherine Smith (Bob Frazier) of Strayhorn, MS; Melanie Sharp (Brian Sharp) of Como, MS; and Angela Harris-Rush (Anthony Rush) of Como, MS; eleven grandchildren: Austin Sharp, Dylan Sharp (MaryJo Cummins), Drake Ortiz, Andrew Sharp (Hayle Sharp), Logan Sharp (Destiny Sharp), Alex Sharp, Haley Sharp (Brady Anderson), Casey Hisaw, Brandon Hisaw, Carson Sharp, and Rosaleigh Rush; five great-grandchildren: Grayson Sharp, Henry Sharp, Aerie Lyse Valazquez, Amritsar Valazques, and the newest and soon to be arrival Taylor Renea Anderson; brother Ray Price and sister Leona Melton; step-son Earnest D. Harris, and special family friend Titus Smith. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Raney Price and Mary Edna Cox; three brothers: Raney Price, Douglas Cox, and Joe Price; two sisters: Delores Price and Thelma Davidson. In lieu of traditional flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the organizations: FedEx Family House (Her grandson’s family was well loved at this location during a very difficult time after the birth of their child.) Regional One Burn Unit (Her late ex-husband was cared for at this location.)
