Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Corey Allen Feathers, 47, of Oxford, Mississippi, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 05, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford; the memorial service celebrating Corey’s life will occur immediately following the visitation, beginning at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Coleman Funeral Home. Corey was welcomed into this world on September 17, 1977, as one of the two children born to the late Clarence Albert Feathers and Dianne Savage Feathers. Corey was a man whose love for his family defined the very essence of who he was. A deeply devoted husband and a proud, caring father, he found his greatest joy in the laughter, warmth, and moments shared with those he loved most. His family was his heart, and everything he did reflected that unwavering devotion. Corey had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. Whether he was out casting a line on a quiet lake or enjoying a sunny afternoon on the golf course, he found peace and happiness in nature. Music was another love of his—he often had a tune playing in the background, setting the soundtrack to a life filled with laughter, love, and joy. Above all of his hobbies and interests, Corey found immense joy in cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers. Those who knew Corey will remember his infectious sense of humor and his unshakable loyalty. He had a rare gift for making others feel seen, heard, and loved. Corey was the kind of friend who would show up no matter what, always ready with a kind word, a quick joke, or a helping hand. His presence lit up every room he entered, and his absence leaves a silence that echoes deeply. Though we grieve his loss, we also celebrate the life Corey lived—a life rich in love, laughter, and meaningful connections. His memory will continue to live on in the stories we share, the songs we hear, and the quiet moments when we feel his spirit close by. Corey leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence: his beloved wife, Melissa Elmore Feathers of Oxford, Mississippi; one son, Cole Feathers of Oxford, Mississippi; one daughter, Reagan Feathers of Oxford, Mississippi; one sister, Amy Burns and her husband Paul of Senatobia, Mississippi; two nieces: Emerson Burns of Senatobia, Mississippi; Jaylen Burns of Senatobia, Mississippi; and one great niece, Aaliyah Morrow of Senatobia, Mississippi; host of beloved extended family members and friends. The loved ones who departed from this life before him include his father and mother, Clarence Albert Feathers, and Dianne Savage Feathers; and one infant nephew Chase Burns.
