Charles Veltman Hall

Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Mr. Charles Veltman Hall, 85, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at his home in Lake Cormorant, MS. A visitation will be held Monday, August, 21, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a funeral service starting at 4:00 p.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Interment will be at Autumn Woods Memorial Park Cemetery, in Olive Branch, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Charles was a very loving, caring, and protective husband, father, and grandfather. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his spare time, he loved to watch SEC football, mainly Ole Miss, and the Atlanta Braves. He was known to have changed the program from what his family was watching to sports, on many occasions. He was a faithful Christian, not only faithful to his Lord but also his family. For 18 years, he lovingly took care of his wife, Mary, after having a stroke, up until her death. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Hall’s sweet demeanor will be missed by all those that loved and cherished him. Mr. Hall is survived by his is daughters, Tracy Christian, Angela Christian, of Miami, FL, Missy (James) Cooper of Southaven, MS, and Meredyth (Aaron) Rose of Walls, MS; grandchildren, Kristen (Parker) Rush, of Southaven, Kelcey Cooper, of Southaven, Sydney Cooper, of Southaven, Katie (JA) Coetzee, of Horn Lake, MS, Zane Rose, of Walls, Ashley Harder, of Bartlett, TN, and Christopher Harder, of Bartlett; great-grandchildren, Eleanor Rush, of Southaven, Emmy Rush, of Southaven, Eliza Rush, of Southaven, Amelia Coetzee, of Horn Lake, and Melody Coetzee, of Horn Lake; brother, Danny Hall; and son-in-law, Mark Harder, of Bartlett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Hall; daughter, Deborah Anne Harder; great-granddaughter, Harper Reese Fell; and parents, William Irvin Hall and Vernia Alma Sanders Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mr. Charles can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
