Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Carley Gray Carleton, 18, of Oxford, passed away in Starkville, Mississippi, with her family by her side. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Hope Church (2094 McCullough Blvd, Tupelo, Mississippi 38801). The funeral service celebrating her life will occur immediately following the visitation, beginning at 3:00 PM in the Sanctuary of Hope Church. Carley, one of the three children born to Tony Carleton and Adelli Richardson, graced this world with her presence on April 25, 2006, in Jackson, Mississippi. Carley's spirit was truly alive in the beauty of the outdoors. Her infectious smile would light up whenever the sun crossed her cheeks, and birds fluttered through the air. She found solace in water, especially when it came to spending the day lounging in her pool. Her joy was most noticed when watching her favorite movies, Toy Story and Finding Nemo, or some of her beloved television shows, such as Mickey Mouse Club House and Sid the Science Kid. Although she has departed from our presence, Carley's memory will hold a special place in the hearts and minds of her loved ones. She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence, father Tony Carleton of Oxford, Mississippi; mother, Adelli Richardson of Starkville, Mississippi; two brothers: Alex (Judyanne) Carleton of Tupelo, Mississippi; Jacob (Claire) Carleton of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; paternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Carleton of Brandon, Mississippi; maternal grandparents, Jimmy and Robbie Richardson of Starkville, Mississippi.
