Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Brian Keith Sharp, 51, passed away on August 19, 2026 at his residence in Como, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford (601 Commerce Parkway, Oxford, MS, 38655). A funeral service will immediately follow on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Coleman Funeral Home with Bro. Craig Shackleford officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Garden of Memories (295 Highway 7 North, Oxford, MS, 38655). Brian was born on September 18, 1974 in Memphis, Tennessee to Daniel and Denise Coyle Sharp. To know Brian was to witness the gentle, unspoken way he treasured his children and grandchildren, they were the light of his life, his deepest pride and greatest joy. His love for his wife was boundless; their connection was a source of constant comfort, laughter, and strength, and she remained the heart of his world. His strong will and deep passion shaped every part of his life. While quiet and reserved in a crowd, those who were blessed to be close to him felt the remarkable depth of his love. His gentle strength and steadfast loyalty were a comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Brian drew happiness from life’s simplest pleasures: the quiet patience of fishing, the thrill of hunting, and the satisfaction of crafting beautiful things from wood. He found solace at the lake, where he could reflect and breathe in the beauty of nature. Yet above all, he cherished every moment spent with his family, savoring the laughter, stories, and closeness they shared. He took great pride in his years of service with the sheriff’s department, finding meaning and camaraderie in his work. But it was time with family, gathered together, sharing simple joys and heartfelt conversations, that gave his life its richest meaning. Brian’s gentle spirit, unwavering determination, and profound love continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who loved him. Though he is gone, his memory will be cherished always, and the love he gave will echo through generations. He is survived by his loving wife, Melanie Harris Sharp of Como; his children, Dylan Sharp (Mary Jo) of Strayhorn, MS, Logan Sharp (Destiny) of Panola County, Haley Anderson (Brady) of Lafayette County, and Carson Sharp of Lafayette County; his grandchildren, Grayson Sharp of Strayhorn, Henry and Millie Sharp of Panola County, and Taylor and Cameron Anderson of Lafayette County; his step-grandchildren, Keaton, Brayden, and Easton Foret all of Strayhorn; his brother, Paul Sharp (Rita) of Tate County; and his parents, Daniel and Denise Coyle Sharp of Tate County. Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hugh and Virginia Coyle, and Howard and Nelle Sharp.
