Arthur "Junior" Douglas Daughtry Jr.

Arthur "Junior" Douglas Daughtry, 59, died Thursday, January 19, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Memphis, TN. Born in Memphis, TN, Junior was a long term residence of Greenleaf, MS. He was an apprentice carpenter most of his life. Junior enjoyed practically any activity that meant he was able to be outdoors. These included hunting, playing horse shoes with his family, and playing softball in his younger days. His absolute passion was to ride horses and barrel race. Any opportunity he had, he was out riding horseback anywhere he could. He was blessed to meet various people who shared his love of the past time, one very special individual being his fiancé, Leanne Haley. He was also able to pass down the love of riding to his children and grandchildren. Although they each enjoyed to ride alongside him, Junior's youngest son Levi inherited the passion that flowed through his father's veins. Junior was the true definition of a family man and loved his family with every ounce of heart and soul. Visitation will be held Monday, January 23, 2017, 5:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Mt. Manna Baptist Church, 7805 Palestine Rd, Coldwater, MS 38618. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Mt. Manna Baptist Church. Burial will be held at Greenleaf Cemetery following the funeral service. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his fiancé, LeAnne Haley of Atoka, TN; her two sons, Wesley Haley and Daniel Haley both of Atoka, TN; one daughter, Heather (Randall) Bailey of Lewisburg, MS; three sons, Daryl (Amanda) Daughtry of Senatobia, MS; Brandon (Leigh Ann) Daughtry of Greenleaf, MS; Levi Daughtry of Hernando, MS; three sisters, Diane (Bill) Boggen of Greenleaf, MS; Connie Floyd of Greenleaf, MS; Cathy (Carl) Criss of Greenleaf, MS; six grandsons, Nolan (Chelsie) Bailey of Hernando, MS; Zachary Bailey of Lewisburg, MS; Landon Sowell of Senatobia, MS; Brandon Daughtry of Greenleaf, MS; Braden Daughtry of Greenleaf, MS; Brantley Daughtry of Greenleaf, MS; six granddaughters, Chandler Bailey of Lewisburg, MS; Amy Bailey of Lewisburg, MS; Aggie Bailey of Lewisburg, MS; Katie Daughtry of Senatobia, MS; Sara Beth Sowell of Senatobia, MS; Hensley Daughtry of Senatobia, MS.
