Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Annalee Carol Hale—wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend—left her earthly home and entered her heavenly home on Sunday, December 17, 2023. Friends are invited to the visitation with her family on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with her funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. at Harvest Church (3645 Forest Hill Irene Rd. Germantown, TN) located inside Forest Hill Baptist Church. Interment will be at Autumn Woods Memorial Park. Ann was born on February 3, 1950, in Mason City, Iowa. She spent her childhood with her beloved family on a farm in Garner, Iowa. Ann attended Iowa State University and later Liberty University, where she met her husband, Joe. After she and Joe graduated from Liberty, they followed God’s leading to South Korea, where they started Liberty Christian School, a ministry for local children of expatriates and missionaries. Later, they expanded the ministry and began schools in other countries, and so their ministry became Network of International Christian Schools (NICS), which now includes 14 schools in 12 countries and a home office in Southaven, Mississippi. As NICS grew, Ann was intricately involved in the work and became a loving friend and mentor to many in the network and beyond. Ann had four sons and “daughters-in-love”, as well as 11 grandchildren, and her marriage and family were the light of her life. She was most proud that all four of her sons love and serve the Lord. Ann loved God deeply, studied the Word constantly, and she most recently cherished her growth and relationships at Bible Study Fellowship and at Harvest Church, where she was an active member. Known for her hospitality, Ann was insistent that friends and family stop by frequently and anytime they were in the area. She was known as a second mom to many of her sons’ friends, and her fridge and extra bedrooms were always open to them. Ensuring that her home was a place of warmth and love, Ann was always ready to sit down and catch up with anyone who arrived, welcoming them with a cup of coffee and a homemade treat. She was an incredible cook, seamstress, and gardener, and she loved to share those gifts with others. Ann is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joe; her sons—Ben (Jessica), Daniel (Brooke), Jed (Whitney), and Wesley (Hillary); and 11 grandchildren—Gabriel, Kellyn, Braden, Bennett, Shiloh, Kiley, Forest, Asa Jo, Mercy, Jesse, and Foster. She is also survived by her mother, Carrie Greiman; siblings—Donna, Beth, Vickie, Garrett, and Tracy (Rob); mother-in-law, Hilda Burlison; sister-in-law, Judy DeFrehn; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members. She is preceded in death by her father, Bernard “Bud” Greiman. As we celebrate Ann’s life, we rest in the assurance that she knew Jesus and was ready to meet him face to face.
