William "Bill" Arbie Williams

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mr. William “Bill” Arbie Williams, 62, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. A graveside service will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Cambridge Cemetery (550 CR 202, Abbeville, MS 38601). Bro. Donnie Williams will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bill was born on July 21, 1960, in New Albany, MS. He was a proud graduate of W.P. Daniel High School in New Albany. Bill was always an extremely hard worker, and he dedicated over 35 years of his life to working as a truck driver. He always loved his job and was always very passionate about his work. Mr. Bill and his beloved wife, Linda were proud members of Midway Church in Oxford, MS. He was always such a proud and God-fearing man. He lived his life to the fullest and never missed an opportunity to bring joy to the lives of others. He had a special way of touching the life of everyone he came in contact with and had such a welcoming presence. Bill taught his family the true meaning of loving one another as you are and taught this lesson through the examples he set and actions he took. Bill was also an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and working in the yard in his free time. However, he loved nothing more than spending the weekend going to different yard sales, estate sales, and auctions with his beloved wife. Mr. Bill will truly be missed by all who knew him. Mr. Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Williams of Oxford; two sons, Christopher Echols of Booneville, MS, and Robert Scott Echols of Gary, IN; three sisters, Janet Lee (Ron) West of Decatur, IL, Phyllis Jean Tomlin of Harmontown, MS, and Traci Williams (Hugh David) Speck of Poolville, MS; 11 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Mr. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Glen Haddox Williams; his mother, Peggy Joyce Miller; and two brothers, Glen Allan Williams and Rickey Gail Williams.
