Norman M. McCreary, Jr., 53, passed away November 15, 2022, in Southaven, MS. A visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS, 38672). A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Interment will be at Desoto Memorial Gardens (630 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS, 38672). Rev. Fletcher Moorman will be officiating. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Norman was born July 26, 1969 in San Diego, CA. He was a proud member of the United States Navy, and served in both Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Norman was known as a hard worker and a jack of all trades. He was a self-taught tradesman and could fix anything presented to him. He also loved to laugh while enjoying life and was even nicknamed “Joker” during his time in the Navy. Norman loved music and was a very talented musician. He could teach himself any instrument, his favorite being the guitar. Norman was a selfless and reliable man who helped so many people and never asked for anything in return. Most importantly, he loved his family with his whole heart. He impacted many lives and will be missed by all who love him. Norman M. McCreary, Jr. is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Tanya Sue McCreary of Nesbit, MS; his daughter, Shelby McCreary-Jones (Dawson) of Southaven, MS; his parents, Anita and Gilbert Morales of Las Cruces, NM; his father, Norman McCreary, Sr. (Sonia) of Philippines; his sisters, Nancy Morales of Memphis, TN and Carol Morales (Alison) of Albuquerque, NM; his father-in-law, Wiley M. Arnold of Nesbit; his sister-in-law, Katrina King (Jay) of Georgetown, TX; and a host of nieces and extended family. Memorials and contributions in honor of Norman M.
