Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Nathaniel “Nathan” Hawkins ,21, of Randolph passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 03, 2023, at his residence. Visitation will be Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford (601 Commerce Pkwy., Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford. Interment will be at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (50 CR 313, Oxford, MS 38655). Bro. Jeff Blackwelder will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of arrangements. Nathaniel, better known by his loved ones and friends as Nathan, graduated from South Pontotoc High School in 2020, upon completing his high school education he continued his studies at Itawamba Community College, recently obtaining his Associate of Arts degree. Nathan had a passion for music, this passion could be evidenced by his role in the South Pontotoc High Honors Marching Band, South Pontotoc High School Jazz Band, South Pontotoc Indoor Theater known as S.P.I.T., and the Itawamba Community College All-American Band. Aside from his passion for music this selfless guy with a witty sense of humor, loved watching movies and had the aspirations to become a film critic. When Nathan was not hitting the books or learning new music, he could be found playing a round of pool with his friends or sharpening his skills in a game of chess. Above all, he loved nothing more than bringing joy and laughter to others and finding a way to brighten their day. Although Nathan has departed from our presence, he will forever be remembered by his one of a kind, loving disposition. Nathan is survived by his mother, Pamela Hawkins of Randolph; his two sisters, Rachel (Brooks) McGreger and Alyssa Hawkins, both of Randolph; two nephews, Greyson Washington and Koen Washington, both of Randolph; his grandmother, Melba Irene Parker of Marion, AR; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends. Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Frank Dean Hawkins; and his grandparents, Audrey Dean and Bonnie Mae Hawkins.
