Nancy Judalee Christopher

Nancy Judalee Christopher, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 05, 2023 at her residence in Horn Lake, MS. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS 38672.) A memorial service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Chaplain Don will be officiating. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Nancy was born October 12, 1946 in Selmer, TN. She lived in Mt. Vincent until she was four years old and then moved to Peoria, IL until 1954. After that she moved back down to Memphis, TN to live with her grandparents for a year. In 1964, she graduated from Overton High School. After graduating, she worked at BellSouth as a Customer Service Representative. She married Joe Ford, the father of her sons, James and Joseph. After divorcing, her daughter Tonya was born and they lived in Memphis. She later remarried and moved to Hickory Hill in Memphis. In the late 90’s and early 2000’s, she worked as a part of the towing industry where she worked for Pyramid Towing and Star Wrecker Service. Although she moved around quite a bit, Tonya and Nancy bought Nancy a house in Cherokee Village, AR so that she could be closer to her sons. After finding it difficult to live on her own later in life, her daughter Tonya decided she would move her back to Horn Lake so that she could take care of her. Christy Burton also assisted in helping care for Nancy. Both of them were there with her holding her hand the day she took her last breath on September 5th at 6:15 a.m. She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Ford of Horn Lake, MS; her sons, Joseph Edwin Ford (Virginia) of Mountain Home, AR and James Marion Ford (Lori) of Williford, AR; and her brother, Jimmy Christopher of Memphis, TN; her grandchildren, Miranda Kelly, Staff Sergeant Michael Anthony Bethune of the United States Air Force (Katey), David Ray Naron, III, Samantha Mae Fry (Christopher), Brad Whitlock, and Joey Ford; her great-grandchildren, Wade Kenneth Bethune, Nolan Roe Bethune, Elijah Cena, Isabella Fry and Sophia Fry. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Wilburn Christopher and Hazel Athalee Christopher. Flowers can be sent to Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven.
