Mrs. Louise Booker

.The Life of Mrs. Louise Booker Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Proverbs 31:10 Louise Booker entered life on October, 23, 1921, born to Houston & Helen (Eggerson) Sisk in Taylor, Mississippi. She was one of nine children. Her brothers Lonnie, Robert, Willie, Herman, Murray, and George preceded her in death. Louise accepted Christ as her Savior in her early teens. She was a member of the Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother’s Board and as a member of the Heroines of Jericho. In 1941, Louise was united in holy matrimony to Robert “Bob” Booker, who preceded her in death in 1995 after 53 years of marriage. They reared 8 loving children and helped raise many others. Two of their children, Helen and L.B (Pee Wee) preceded her in death. Louise’s family was her job and her life. She worked outside the home for Lafayette County Schools as a custodian, a cook at Smitty’s Restaurant, and a housekeeper. She loved God, she loved going to church, she loved her family, and she was a praying woman until death. We will forever miss our Angel sent to us for 92 glorious years. On July 23, 2014, in the early hours of the morning, Louise answered the call from her Heavenly Father and left this world to be with Him. Her final words were “I’m alright”. Remembering her love, her special ways, and kind spirit are: (6) Children, John Robert (Felecia) Booker of Detroit, MI; Willie Calvin (Linda) Booker of Oxford, MS; Richard (Vietta) Booker of Oxford, MS; Virginia (Donald) Moore of Leesburg, VA; Albert (Lena) Booker of Memphis, TN; Sheila (Joe) Mathis of Oxford, MS; a son-in-law, John Wafer (late Helen); and a daughter-in-law, Charlie Booker (late L.B.). She also leaves her sisters and best friends Pearline Jones of Brandon, MS, Rosie Jones of Oxford, MS, and her sister-in-law, Georgia (Charles) Thompson of Cleveland, OH. Her pride and joy were her 24 grandchildren, 39 great-children, and two great-great grandchildren, who she would never forget. She also leaves her very special friends in Maryland, Kathy Wilson and Brenda Tucker, and her nieces she would call her daughters, Josephine, Margarite, and Ruthie Mae and so many more family and friends, all were near and dear to her heart.
