Laura Sue Sneed

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Laura Sue Sneed, 52, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at home. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch. The interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Olive Branch. Bro. Michael Weeks will officiate the service. Laura was born on September 20, 1971 in Memphis, TN. She graduated from Olive Branch High School. Laura worked for many years at First Tennessee Bank (now First Horizon Bank) before leaving to help her husband, Bobby, run his landscaping business as his “chairman of the board.” Laura also really enjoyed working with her students at Olive Branch High School. She ran the Diamond Girls and was the “Team Mom” for the baseball team at Rossville Academy. Laura was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was very active in her church and was quick to show up for any opportunity that enabled her to serve through events such as teaching Sunday School, Bible Buddies, Acteens, and Vacation Bible School. Laura’s love for children was well known, and they were drawn to her wherever she went. Laura had a playful, fun, and upbeat personality. She was loved by so many and the light she showed through her life will not soon be forgotten. Laura is preceded in death by her father, Denton Pike; brother, Jeffrey Wayne Pike; step-father, John LaBuda; and sister-in-law, Brenda Hood. Laura is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert “Bobby” Sneed of Olive Branch, MS; mother, Bettie Sue LaBuda of Olive Branch; daughter, Alexandria Nauert (Travis) of Olive Branch; son, Robert Chandler Sneed (Mallori Cohee) of Southaven, MS; mother-in-law, Lillian Sneed of Olive Branch; brothers-in-law, Joe Sneed of Arlington, TN, Ronnie Sneed (Judy) of New Albany, MS, James Hood of Senatobia, MS; sister-in-law, Sharon Woods (Woody) of Olive Branch; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of traditional flowers, donations may be made in Laura Sneed’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Center (www.stjude.org).
