Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Justin Blaine Judkins, 30, of Oxford, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday morning, September 3, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. The family invites you to celebrate his life on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Old Armory Pavilion, 1801 University Ave., Oxford, Mississippi. Justin was a young man with ultra-bright blue eyes and a smile that could light up any room from the beginning and was a magnet for love. His mother would call him her little glowworm; he was born with jaundice, and he had to have lights wrapped around him that made him glow. Sometimes, as a baby, his older brother Josh would climb into the crib to comfort him when he woke early in the morning. As a child, he liked to take his new toys apart to see how they worked, explaining how he could fix almost anything. At age nine, his stepfather, Doug, gifted him a Yamaha dirtbike, which led Justin to discover a love for motorcycles. From then on, the thrill of speed and wind on his face brought joy and excitement to his life. In his teenage years, Justin shared his love of skateboarding with his younger brother, Skyler, who skated all over the South with his friends and inspired everyone with whom he crossed paths. The friends he made and mainly loved were the ones he’d made through skateboarding; great memories were made, and his friends will remember him most through the stories they share about the times they spent on and off the skateboard. While passionate about skateboarding, Justin rode BMX and inline skates occasionally, making him a well-rounded individual in the extreme sports realm. Justin loved his older sister, Christy, too; they considered themselves ninjas. Justin loved PB&J’s, listening to music, and yelling movie quotes (Mom, the meatloaf!!!). But more than anything, he loved his two sons, Blaine Cole and Nolan Reed Judkins. Blaine and Justin loved going to the park to fish, skateboard, and ride bikes. Once, Justin built a motorized bicycle for Blaine with an extra seat and footpegs to ride together. And with Nolan, they would watch Cocomelon for hours, go to the park, and spend all the quality time together as father and son. Blaine and Nolan were the light of his life and the reason behind his smiles. Justin leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence; Mother, Melinda Scott King of Oxford, Mississippi; one son, Blaine Cole Judkins (mother, Anna Hicks) of Byhalia, Mississippi; Father, Rex Judkins (Jessca Stephenson) of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Stepfather Hugh “Doug” King of Scotland, Arkansas. Siblings; Brothers, Skyler King & Joshua Judkins of Oxford, Mississippi; Kirsten Judkins of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Douglas King of Horn Lake, Mississippi; Michael King of Orange Beach, Alabama; Christy King of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi; Anna Houston Haywood (Chris Haywood) of Grenada, Mississippi; Corey Houston of Charlotte, North Carolina; maternal grandparents Walter and Jereece Scott of Houston, Texas; maternal uncle Mark and Dora Scott of Houston, Texas; five paternal aunts, and uncles Paul and Irene Lee of Leoma, Tennessee; Janis and Johnny Kilburn of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; Nancy Walls of Southaven, Mississippi; Richard and Cindy Lee of Florence, Alabama; Jeff Judkins of Clifton, Tennessee; and lots of loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
