Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Diana Lea Manning, 77, of Como, passed away on Saturday, April 06, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. The memorial service celebrating her life will occur on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church (124 County Road 519 Como, Mississippi 38619) This outgoing woman never met a stranger. Diana was born on August 11, 1946, in Starkville, Mississippi. She was the child of the late John West Patrick and Julia Corhern Patrick. Diana married her loving husband, Dennis Manning, and spent many decades of her life walking down the path of life by his side. Along the journey, the couple welcomed four children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She spent her days as a devoted homemaker, looking after every want and need of her children and husband. She always placed the needs of others above her very own. Diana dearly loved her children, but her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She was known as the grandmother who showed unwavering support and rarely missed any event her grandchildren were involved in. Aside from supporting her family, she loved anything Elvis Presley, from his stardom on the movie screen to every record his name was printed on. She also found great joy sitting on the porch with her husband, observing the delicate beauty of hummingbirds as they darted across the yard and perched on the feeders. When she preferred more excitement, she could be found cheering on the Memphis Tigers football team. Although she has departed from our presence, Diana’s memory will hold a special place in the hearts and minds of her loved ones. She leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in her absence: her husband, Dennis Manning of Como, Mississippi; one son, Dennis Manning Jr of Memphis, Tennessee; three daughters: Amy Manning of Memphis, Tennessee; Renea (Tim) Huffman of Harmontown, Mississippi; Leigh Ann (Tony) Manuel of Potts Camp, Mississippi; seven grandchildren: Dalton Cooper of Wichita , Kansas; Jordin Manuel of Potts Camp, Mississippi; Gracie Manning of Memphis, Tennessee; Anthony Manuel of Potts Camp, Mississippi; Jack Manning of Memphis, Tennessee; Sara Beth Huffman of Harmontown, Mississippi; Julia Manuel of Potts Camp, Mississippi; three great-grandchildren: Ensley Cooper, Colton Cooper, and Bodhi Cooper all of Wichita, Kansas; three sisters: Judy Klinger of Memphis, Tennessee; Ruth (Don) Crocker of Memphis, Tennessee; Brenda McCullough of Independence, Mississippi. The loved ones who departed from this before her include her mother and father, John West Patrick and Julia Corhern Patrick; one sister, Kay Patrick.
