Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford Mrs. Delpha “Daffney” Denise Browning, 59, passed away on January 17, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi. The family will celebrate her life on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Pinelake Church in Oxford, Mississippi (5202 George G Patterson Pkwy, Oxford, MS 38655). Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Daffney was born on June 19, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late William Stone and Nancy Chandler Hall. She was a devoted grandmother who cherished her grandchildren and her extended grandchildren. She found immense joy in every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. An avid fan of Dr. Pol, Mrs. Daffney had a deep appreciation for animals and often shared her love for nature through her passion for plants. Her home was adorned with charming gnomes, a testament to her playful spirit. Mrs. Daffney was known for her competitive nature when it came to a game of dominoes, bringing friends and family together at the table for fun and connection. A gifted painter, she expressed herself through her artwork, filling her life and home with beautiful creations. Most importantly, Mrs. Daffney was a loving wife who cherished her husband, Mr. Richard Browning, sharing a bond that will forever be remembered. Her warmth, creativity, and love for her family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. Mrs. Daffney is survived by her son, Skylar Smith (Marlee) of Oxford, Mississippi; three daughters, Crystal Browning (Trent) of Oklahoma, Jennie Browning and Cassie Browning both of Texas; eight grandsons, Austin Smith, Haden Smith (Jayda Fiveash), Bentley Smith, Skip Ragan, Noah Ragan, Hunter Burns all of Oxford, Mississippi, Anthony Gutierrez of Texas, and Gauge Evans of Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Rachel Ragan of Oxford, Brittany Gutierrez of Texas, and LouAnn Ivy of Oklahoma; one great-grandson, Sunny Pettit of Oxford, Mississippi; two sisters, DeeAnn Dooley (Steve) of Texas, and Tiffany Morris of Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Browning, and her parents, William Stone, and Nancy Chandler Hall.
