Clifford "Cliff" Dean Nentwig

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Clifford “Cliff” Dean Nentwig, 73, of Cockrum, MS, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with the service to follow at 6:00 pm at Coleman Funeral Home, 6815 Parkview Blvd., Olive Branch, MS. Kevin Leon Smith will officiate. Cliff was born on September 17, 1949 in Glendive, MT. Cliff worked for twenty-one years for Consolidated Freightways and the Reel Neet Erosion Control for eleven years before retiring. While still working for Consolidated Freightways, Cliff was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 667. Cliff was also proud to be a member of the National Rifle Association. Cliff loved any excuse to be outdoors. He owned about five acres of land that he called his “farm,” where he raised chickens and cats. His farm chores kept him busy, but when he had free time he enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter. Cliff fixed up his patio, where he would sit with his friends and listen to his favorite music. They called themselves “The Barn Buddies” and were going to form “The Band.” Cliff was with the love of his life, Polly, for almost twenty-seven years. They had a beautiful family together and Cliff was always supportive of them. He was known to be a jack of all trades and he could build or fix anything. He was always available and willing to help anyone in need. Cliff was a kind and generous man who will be missed greatly. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Florence Mae Sears Nentwig and John Herman Nentwig; sisters, Blanche Mae Nentwig Bellows, Grace Louise Nentwig Geiger, Rose Marie Nentwig Yochum, Delia Jane Nentwig Faller; and brother, Raymond Joseph Nentwig. Cliff is survived by his wife, Polly Nentwig of Cockrum, MS; sons, Jeremy Nentwig (Anna) of Billings, MT, Allen Rogers (Sharon) of Marion, AR, and Brad (Amy) Rogers of Rossville, TN; daughter, Leigh Ann Yant (Martin) of Glen Rose, TX; granddaughter, McKenna Nentwig of Billings, MT; grandson, Seager Nentwig of Billings, MT; seventeen additional grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Ann Nentwig Doyle (Walter Joseph Doyle, Jr.) of Clayton, IN; brother, Bud Max Nentwig (Virginia) of Stevensville, MT; and sister-in-law, Rosie Nentwig of Glendive, MT.
