Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford. Christopher Thadis Tarver,57, of Oxford, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital- North Mississippi. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford. The memorial service celebrating his life will occur immediately following the visitation, beginning at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Coleman Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Shook officiating. Christopher was born on December 15, 1967, in Oxford, Mississippi, as one of the children born to Patricia Voncille Campbell Tarver and the late Thadis Milton Tarver. A dedicated accounting clerk at McGregor Industrial Steel Fabrication, Christopher brought diligence and integrity to his work. Outside of his professional life, he was a private individual, content in the company of a small but deeply valued circle of friends who knew the depth of his loyalty and kindness. Christopher was a man of quiet talents and thoughtful gestures. He found great joy in gardening, nurturing a colorful array of flowers that reflected the gentleness of his spirit. Every season, without fail, he created beautiful floral arrangements for his beloved mother, a testament to his love and devotion. His creativity extended beyond the garden. Christopher took pride in shaping his living space with his own hands, finishing the interior construction of his home, and designing the remodeling portions of his mother's home—projects that highlighted his eye for detail and his deep care for those around him. Christopher was a man of faith and a member of Anchor Baptist Church, where he found strength and solace in his beliefs. Christopher will be remembered for his quiet strength, enduring love for his family, and the beauty he brought into the world through his hands and heart. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a loving family to continue walking down the path of life in his absence: his mother, Patricia Voncille Campbell Tarver of Oxford; one brother, David Tarver and his wife Gina of Oxford; one sister, Donna Lane and her husband Gary of Oxford; special nephew, Taylor Tarver of Oxford; host of beloved nephews, nieces, and extended family members; and a special friend, Margo Reeves of Oxford. The loved ones who departed from this life before him include his father, Thadis Milton Tarver and one sister, Debra Tarver Miller.
