Caryl Landreth

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Caryl Jeanne Landreth of Southaven, MS, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 12:00 p.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Autumn Woods Memorial Park. Caryl was born on February 13, 1937 in Wenatchee, WA. She had the most giving, sweet, Christian spirit. Caryl loved the Lord and she witnessed for Him continuously to anyone she met. Faith runs strong within her and her family! 2 Corinthians 5:5 – “Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.” We all rest in the belief of the joy she had the day she left us and went home to be with the Lord. She also loved her family more than anything on this Earth. Outside of her family time, Caryl’s favorite pastime was handcrafts – knitting, crocheting, and beading. She loved to make dish cloths and give them away to people she would meet or interact with that touched her heart. Caryl shared her love of people through the passion of being a caregiver to anyone in need. She truly had a servant’s heart. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially Gonzaga basketball from her home state of WA. Left to cherish Caryl’s memory are her daughters, Lisa Culp (Greg Jones) of Destin, FL, Donna Pumphrey (Terry) of Olive Branch, MS, and Valerie Miller (Charlie) of Horn Lake, MS; granddaughters, Tiffany Jeter of Southaven, MS, Caryl Anne Crowne (Erick) and Chelsea Harris, both of Olive Branch, MS, Chelsea McGee (Alan) of Hernando, MS, Amber Robinson of Lewisburg, MS, and Mindy Marston (Andy) of Nesbit, MS; grandsons, Terry Pumphrey, Jr. of Olive Branch, MS, Bobby Jeter, Jr. of Arkabutla, MS, Justin Jeter of Wood Village, OR, and Phillip Pumphrey (Laura) of Marshall County, MS; great-granddaughters, Vayda Crowne, Erica Pumphrey, Payton Pumphrey, and Addy Grace McGee; great-grandsons, Johnathan Harris, Karsen Tapley, Maverick Crowne, Colton McGee, Landon McGee, Tristan Robinson, Grant Marston, Aiden Marston, and Liam Marston; sisters, Karen Cole (Mark) of Walla Walla, WA and Sandy Hughes (Herman) of Lakeport, CA; and five nieces and nephews. Caryl was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Alexander Landreth, mother, Fern Alta Shafford Landreth, and niece, Jannette Hughes.
