Carolyn Worley Holderfield

Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven Carolyn Worley Holderfield, 82, of Horn Lake, MS, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven (626 Star Landing Road East, Southaven, MS, 38672). A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m., also at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Reverend Greg Worley will be officiating. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements. Carolyn was born November 24, 1940, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, to the late Dan Ervin and Lucille Kitchens Worley. She was an active Realtor in the community and wonderful baker. Prior to her real estate career, she owned and operated a very successful catering business for 33 years. She is described by her family as being inspirational, strong, loving, and caring. She was a blessing to many people. She, in return, was blessed by blessing others around her. Carolyn was always available for her friends and family, teaching them all many life lessons. She taught others to always treat others better than you would yourself and love first, ask questions later. She instilled all these traits in her family, leaving them with a legacy like no other. With her loving and caring nature, she often became everyone’s “Gan Gan”. Her sweet spirit and character will be missed by all those that loved and cherished her. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Richard) Williams of Horn Lake, MS; step daughter, Lisa (Bryan) Andrews Marinez of Portland, OR; step son, Rick (Debra) Hopkins, Sr., of Southaven; two granddaughters, Katherine Elizabeth Rush and Stephanie Danielle (Lorena) Williams; two grandsons, Brian Thomas Holderfield and Richard Charles Williams, Jr.; three great-granddaughters, Addison Wiley, Adrienne Wiley and Lilly Holderfield; two great-grandsons, Colton Wiley and Logan Holderfield; her brother, Gary (Diane) Worley; two sister in laws, Hattie Worley and Paulette Worley; and a host of nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Edward Holderfiled; her father, Dan Ervin Worley; her mother, Lucille Kitchens Worley; and her two brothers, Gene Worley and Oliver Worley.
