Amy Lois Wicker

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Amy Lois Wicker, 75, of Memphis, TN, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m., all at Abundant Grace Ministries (9239 Holmes Rd. Collierville, TN 38017). Interment will be at Pisgah Cemetery in Shiloh, TN. Bishop Brian Graves will officiate. Amy was born on April 30, 1949 in Hardin County, TN. She was a beloved member of Abundant Grace Ministries, where she shared a close bond with her friends in the church family. She and her late husband, Arlie, lived in Tennessee all their lives. Their love story began in childhood, attending school together from first grade through twelfth grade, and graduating from Pickwick Southside High School in 1967. They married on August 19, 1967, and shared over 44 wonderful years together. She deeply cherished her time with her grandchildren, always finding joy in their presence. Amy had a passion for playing cards, working on puzzles, and coloring, and she never turned down a good game of Yahtzee. She also spent many hours watching Westerns and her favorite home improvement shows. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, and she especially loved spontaneous late-night trips to Waffle House. Amy had a special love for BBQ and could always find room for it. Her warmth, sense of fun, and love of family will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Tabathia Shelton of Memphis, TN; son, Johnny Wicker of Flowood, MS; sister, Erlene Ussery of Collierville, TN granddaughters, Emily Blalock (Cash) of Riverton, UT, Bailee Wicker of Horn Lake, MS, Harleigh Wicker of Conway, AR, Riley Wicker of Olive Branch, MS, and Lillie Wicker of Flowood; and great-grandsons, T.J. and Jaxon Hailey of Horn Lake. Amy was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Wicker; parents, Marvel and Mattie Rushing; brothers, Charles H. Rushing, Leroy Rushing, and Kenneth Rushing.
