Frank Eugene Hadaway

Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Frank Eugene Hadaway, 86, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm with the service to follow at 5:00 pm at Coleman Funeral Home (6815 Parkview Blvd., Olive Branch). Interment will be at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. Pastor Charlie Shafer of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch will officiate. Frank was born on June 13, 1936 in Calera, AL. He was employed by the Internal Revenue Service for twenty eight years and retired as a Compliance Division Chief. He served honorably in the United States Navy and later in the Reserve. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch and was a kind, godly man. Music was a huge part of Frank’s life. He would often sing and played both the banjo and ukulele. He also enjoyed musical quartets. Frank was a golfer and enjoyed watching it in his free time. Frank loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed traveling with his wife of fifty-nine years, Jenny Sue. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Frank is survived by his daughters, Kori Giallanza (Thomas) of Canton, GA, and Kathy Cross (Dale) of Olive Branch, MS; granddaughter, Rachell Fischer (Andrew) of Germantown, TN; grandsons, Michael Giallanza (Brittany) of Cumming, GA, Christopher Giallanza (Niki) of Canton, GA, Brian Jowers (Reineke) of Hillsboro, OR, and Tyler Strasburger (Rachel Lain) of Athens, AL; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Gwen Anthony of Birmingham, AL; and sister-in-law, Carlene Hadaway of Calera, AL. Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Sue Hadaway; and parents, Mary Rose and Jesse Lowe Hadaway. In lieu of traditional flowers, memorials can be made in his name to Baptist Reynold’s Hospice (https://www.baptistonline.org/locations/specialty-facilities/reynolds-hospice-wilson-good-grief) or Page Robbins House (www.pagerobbins.org). In honor of Frank Hadaway’s service to our country, the flag of the United States Navy will be flown at Coleman Funeral Home on the day of the services.
